SECURITY STATEMENT

Security

This site is designed to provide a safe and secure system for you to process your transactions. First BankAmericano (FBA or we) works with technology partners to ensure the most secure environment possible for our valued customers.  You can be completely confident that your financial and personal information are kept secure and confidential.

Secure Logon

Your User ID is provided by FBA and you can determine your password.  It should be eight characters, a combination of alpha numeric characters.  It can not be the same character for the entire password.  It is recommended that your Password should not be associated with any commonly known personal identification, such social security number, address, date of birth and names of children. The system checks for invalid logins and automatically disallows a user after three invalid attempts. This prohibits "hackers" from accessing our system, thus protecting your accounts. Upon your initial sign-on you will asked to select a security question.  You should not disclose this password or security response to anyone.

Your Password

The identity of your Password is not communicated to us. Your password should be at least six characters and should not be in consecutive order.  You are responsible to keep your password confidential and secure.  You should memorize it.  You should not disclose your User ID or Password to anyone. It is recommended that you do not keep a record of your password in your wallet, checkbook or purse.  If you share your password with anyone, they will have access rights to all your accounts owned by you, either individually or jointly that are maintained with FBA.  It is your responsibility to keep your password secure.

Fraud Alert

Email and Web Site fraud are often referred to as "phishing", "carding" or "spoofing" involves a fraudster sending you an email request that appears to be from a business that you may normally deal with. The fraudulent email usually mimics a legitimate website.  The email may instruct you to provide, update or confirm sensitive personal information. The information could to be used to commit illegal transactions.

Identify theft occurs when someone illegally obtains important and confident personal identifying information to commit fraud.  The information is used to assume the victim's financial identity, enabling the thief to access the victims existing accounts, to apply for loans and credit cards and they establish services from fee-based companies such as telephone and utility providers.
